Question Info about The Barelas Art district

Howdy,

I'm back again with more questions.

I am considering renting/purchasing a house/condo in the Barelas Art disctrict.

What are your opinions about this particular part of town?

Thanks

Barelas was a nice neighborhood, then pretty bad, now on the mend and gentrifying a bit.

Probably won't find it too bad. It's a very spanish part of town, historically. Spanish is much more the language on the street than English, more so anyway than downtown.

It borders some iffy neighborhoods, but you should enjoy it. As we get away from the drive-20-miles-each-way-to-the-suburbs lifestyle, we'll get more to that type of neighborhood; laid out to be walked in but also car-friendly.
