Eclipse aviation announced today that its employment hiring reached 1000 employees today (1/19/2007) and averages 20 hires a day Eclipse Vice President Mike McConnell told business leaders in Albuquerque today. Just some more good economic for our state....
This is good news for the state and I hope to hear more news like it in the future. I wish good things upon Eclipse and that their success will draw others to the state for lasting business and jobs for the people who call this place home.
Can anybody enlighten me as to the current state of Eclipse? I almost accepted a job there a while back, but I've heard they are having hard times right now. Anybody work there or know someone who does?
Yowza, sounds like I dodged a big time bullet! That's too bad, they have a nice facility and a great idea. I hope it works out for the people left there.
Is the Russian Eclipse factory dead too? My guess is no, but that too could change. The Russian economy is in a heap of trouble at the moment, even more so than ours.
I was doing so research and came upon this website, Eclipse Aerospace, Inc
they post a curious little memo: on home page click on "Customer Communiques"
it has a posting as late as 10/11/09
so are they back, or are they just a customer care service now?
I don't believe Eclipse has really gotten into operation yet after the bankruptcy. They are still negotiating with the city to keep operating. There are issues with some of the buildings and rent. I'm not sure they are even operating "Customer Care Service" yet.
I'm not very optimistic that Eclipse will amount to much but I sure hope they are successful. It's a shame that so many businesses took a hit during this recession. They seemed to be on the right track.
