Crime is going way down in Albuquerque, Which is Exciting!!
Check out the Crime Stats for ABQ

>> APD | Crime Statistics (http://www.cabq.gov/police/statistics/index.html - broken link) <<

What do you think is the cause for this decline in crime?
Do you think by the end of the year, the crime stats will be lower than any other year?

Hmm, are we looking at the same statistics? From your site I'm looking at crime statistics for 2006 and 2007 (too early for 2008) and I see that UP are aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, DUI, fraud, kidnapping, homicide, rape, robbery, simple assault. !!!

Go to Crime Statistics Summary by Year and it will show you that the crime in 2008 is lower than usual.

That's the same chart I'm looking at. Those figures for 2008 are for Jan. only. Look at the monthly charts.

Look at your 2008 figures in the Crime Statistics by year and then look at the table Current statistics. The month of Jan. is the same for the figures for the 2008 figures.
