Need a good honest car mechanic in NE Albuquerque
I'm having a problem with my 98 Pontiac Bonneville and will eat glass before taking it to the dealer. Does anyone know of a good, honest mechanic somewhere in NE ABQ who will not screw me out of money and will do a good job? I'm not willing to go to the west side or the south valley.

whatever you do----dont take it to The Garage off of Unser and Western Trail, I took my car there once and they said it was gonna be $900 dollars to fix it, I said forget it, so I called up my cousin who is a mechanic and all it needed was a $3 dollar part.
Mechanics are hard to trust.

I've heard that mechanics in that part of town are pretty shady, along with everyone else. That's why I want someone who is closer to where I am in the NE heights.

The Mechanic on Comanche and Moon. Best mechanic ever! I've tried others after moving here but was advised by many to go see Chuck "The Mechanic" - I did and I will never go anywhere else. Very honest and straightforward, doesn't try to get you to have unnecessary work done. I take all my cars to him and I also use him to check out any potential cars I might be buying.
This is the only Mechanic I would vouch for.
