6. Sports: There are no major league teams. Why do people from ABQ insist on loving the Cowboys? And then if they lose, everyone changes alliances. I know Philly has all of the teams but why not cheer for the minor league teams or the college teams? Philly cheers for its teams regardless of whether they suck or not. And we let our teams know that they suck. Yes, we boo-ed Santa Claus at a football game but, then again, Santa was stinking drunk and cursing. We have our reasons but we are loyal. Last week, with absolutely no way of getting into the playoffs, Philly cheered on the Eagles to do one thing only ... beat the Cowboys, which they did. You're welcome! And that was the BEST present we could've asked for.
I see an equal # of Bronco's fan's here, must be because the cowboy's are doing so poorly.
The Eagles fan's didn't just boo Santa - they pelted him with snowballs. But you are right they are loyal for every sport, always a great turnout. I remember going to see Jon Bon Jovi's arena football team a few times and the games were always packed to the rafters. At this time of year I would see Eagles flags flying everywhere and every deli would have that stack of Eagles T-Shirts for sale by the cash register. I'm sure it is the same this year. I lived in Jersey, but so close to Philly that I could see the fireworks from my windows when they made the Superbowl in '04, good times, shame I am a Giants fan
Hmm well I have been contemplating a move to Albuquerque after visiting AZ and finding it beyond disappointing.
Maybe you should check this link out to give you some real insight and if a Moderator happens to delete the link just search Albuquerque Gangs TV Report on youtube. YouTube - Albuquerque Gangs TV Report
Now I'm not saying that every city doesn't have a problem similar to this but a word or two of caution...
1. Have you been to Albuquerque?
2. AZ is a big state. There are parts of AZ I would not feel comfortable in.
3. Why are you directing us to a TV report over two years old.
4. Since you don't like Albuquerque why move here?

...and you have to submit links of old YouTube videos (really - is that a valid source? I'm going to say NO!!!). On another thread you state that Albuquerque has no jobs and will fail in a recession:
JadedStone claims:
"So think about it before you make any move. That is what city you want to ride out the Recession in? Cities like ABQ will fall victim more quickly to the Recession because of their lack of finance and lack of structure with government officials."
What is your source for this information? Most stats reflect that unemployment in Albuquerque is below the national average. Albuquerque has not experienced the recession to the extent that most other cities and even states in the US have at this point (including your prefered Arizona).
If the recession does hit Albuquerque in a severe way I'm sure the people and the city will ride it through with the vision and resilience to alleviate its effects.
Albuquerque has been around for more than 300 years and has experienced a heck of a lot more adversity than this current recession. Believe me ABQ will manage better than many, if not most US cities.
As far as the city government not having the infrastructure, money, etc. I just need to ask you - Have you been to Albuquerque lately? It really has changed in just the last 5 years alone.

# WHAT A DRAG IT IS GETTING OLD
