Folks,

My wife is looking for a job and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or leads. She is working towards her bachelors in elementary education and currently is about half-way through. She is looking for a job in day care, youth development, before/after school programs, etc. She has a lot of experience in these areas and is also a registered sub (which she is trying to avoid). I would appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance.

Don't know of any specific leads, but some possibilities for finding something:

albuquerque education/teaching jobs classifieds - craigslist

NewMexicoKids: Early Care Education Positions Available

And this one isn't so targeted, but might have something useful if you need to expand the search:

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area job search and jobs posting. Find a high quality employee. Find the perfect job.

Hope she finds something.

Oh yeah, last resort: I know Coronado Center is always picking up help this time of year to build up extra hours for the Christmas rush. It's extra cash anyway, and your indoors.

I would try some of the charter schools here in town.

I see Campfire before and after school program hiring from time to time (I think they are on University blvd).

Does her schedule permit her working as an EA?

Its a teacher's aide. I am not sure why she is trying to avoid working as a sub - if its the hours, then EA won't work. But there are obviously other reasons why one would not want to work as a sub. But if the hours work OK, she could get in the EA sub pool or apply to be an EA.
