Casino Buffets
yo, has anyone gone to any of the 3 casinos near to abq? i wanted to go there just for the buffet, so do you think it's worth it? it's only like a 15 min drive in any of the 3 directions, and lots of food for little price.

We recently went to the one at Santa Ana and it was very good. Haven't tried the others yet.

I've only been to Route 66 hungy cowboy buffet and its descent, on Mon,Tue or Wed its 2 for $9.95 with a rewards card which is easy to get. They have some of the best sweet rice I have ever tasted.
I hear Isleta has a great all you can eat seafood buffet on Fridays.

We ended up at Santa Ana because it was impossible to get to Isleta. Drove over and traffic was backed onto I-40, about 1/2 mile before the exit. As soon as we got off the exit, we quickly turned onto rt. 66 and headed back. Not sure if it happens every Sat. night or if something special was going on.
We are going to try again though.

Wow...thats odd... Santa Ana is extremely far from Isletta, you must of put almost 30 or 40 miles on your car.

Yes I know. No idea what was going on. Miles mean nothing to us. Back in Maine, we would of driven 50 miles for a night out.

Well I realized the other day I got confused on my casinos. LOL.
We were going to Rte 66 casino, not Isleta. Makes more sense now. Anyway, still was a long traffic wait so ended up at Santa Ana.
Dang CRS!!

Ha Ha Ha, it happens. Just remember the S's are north (Sandia and Santa Ana). Sandia is off of Tramway and I-25, Santa Ana is in Bernalillo off of 528(?). Isletta is at Broadway and I-25. Rt 66 is about 10 miles outside of the city limits west on I-40.

How is the weekend buffet at Route 66? We may be going to a show there before Christmas and wondered if we should just plan to eat there or somewhere else. Are the slots any good there?
