Okay, well a good way to find friends is too join some groups or orginizations. There are a lot of dance clubs you and your boyfriend can go to meet friends.

Found this on craigslist under events.

Friday nite jams @ Pizza Rio 5-9pm (broken link)

Found this via craigslist too, mainly for singles but has links (on right side) to other interest groups.

Default Searching for friends

How does one find friends in the Albuquerque area? Without going to bars. Intelligent people who like music, photography, flea markets, going exploring in outdoor parks and sites. My son is lonely and moved here a year and 1/2 ago. He is in his early 30's and does not know where to meet people.

One idea is to take a class in something you're interested in through UNM Continuing Education. It's an easy and safe way to meet people that have similar interests.

UNM or through work seems to be the best way. There is not much going on in the social frontier of Albuquerque. Its hard to meet people unless you are in school, and even then its challenging. Im at UNM now and i cant meet anyone with interests other than going to the Frontier after class.

Your son needs to go to places that catch his interest (ie Music Festival, et al) and talk to the people there. If he is outgoing, he will have no problems finding friends.

Volunteer in something he is interested in--working alongside other people is a great way to make friends.
