Decided to ask ya'll for a hotel recommendation for my stay at the end of the month.

Looking for a decent, inexpensive place Midtown, 'Uptown,' or North.

Or if you have places to avoid, let me know, DM if necesssary.

Thanks!

It all depends on what you consider "inexpensive"..

When we were recently visiting (11/2008) before our move we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations, amenities and location of the

Homewood Suites by Hilton® Albuquerque Uptown
7101 Arvada Avenue NE
Albuquerque, New Mexico 87110
1-505-881-7300
It's near 1-40 and Louisiana Ave exit

It's right around the corner from the ABQ Uptown with lots of shops, restaurants etc.. and you can get a suite (separate bedroom, and sitting area, full kitchen, washer dryer on premises) AND complementary breakfast (some hot items).. all for about $99 a nite.

Also- they have Welcome Home Reception® featuring a complimentary light meal and beverages Monday through Thursday evenings .

I've stayed at the Hyatt Place in ABQ Uptown, but it's probably gonna be higher than $60/night.

Thanks, I've looked up some via hotel.com and cross referenced with tripadvisor forums.....and came up with a short list, one of which is the Clarion hotel.

La Posada is an old but recently reworked railroad hotel in downtown. The lobby is a work of southwestern art. I have no idea about prices.

I recently stayed at Route 66 for $50 no tax. But I ate at their buffet and on the receipt it has stay the night for $50. So I tried and got a double bed for $50. Plus their rooms are great. I think it was only for weekdays.

Don't stay at Extended Stay America ... pretty dirty. At least that was my experience.
