I'm hoping the next move at least offers an allergy off-season! Thanks again!
I started this thread in 2009 when the Albuquerque city government started sending out daily Pollen Reports via email during the January to November periods. The type of pollen varies throughout that period. I usually only post when some of the pollen rates are high.

I'm not really aware of the particulate matter days. It might be on the cabq.gov site Air Quality in Albuquerque — City of Albuquerque or elsewhere.

I do not have any known allergies, but I can sympathize as my kids and wife seemed to be sneezing and wheezing at various time of their life. My daughter liked this area better than central PA and MD...

There is a major thread you might read through, Allergies, Pollen in Albuquerque and there is also an Allergies forum...

Where do you find the pollen count for east vs west? On the links it only shows east that I can find.

Ah.... You hear people saying how bad the "West Side" is? Well, we don't have as much pollen... Just dust... Look through past posts for June, July etc. We get some pollen.

But remember, those pollen counts are from one place (I don't know where). So don't go stand next to a Chenopod if you have a lot of allergies. Or, check it out...

Notice we don't get that pollen on the west side! (We get dust instead...)

Wait until a little later in the spring. You'll get it….some days higher than the East side.

No.

Juniper/Cedar
it is OK to buy and plant:
  • male plants that do not exceed 2 feet tall when mature, or
  • any size plant that is female only.

(Don't ask the next question)
