We are now open at our new location. We have added several items to our menu, including, Mexican Food (mild and flavorful), and Steaks and Seafood will be added this coming week. We invested in a Steak Broiler, just like the ones used at Ruth's Chris and other "high end" steak houses, so we will have great quality steaks, cooked just right, at a fraction of what the high end places charge.

Stop by and say hi anytime

ya'll are leaving off the only good BBQ place in Albuquerque. Rudy's is not the place to go, it's just typical chain BBQ, there is a little place called Powdrells that is really good and very affordable, I ate there 3-4 times when I lived in ABQ and really enjoyed it and the southern sides.

I met a woman from ABQ several months ago who told me Powdrell's is THE BEST if I am looking for good barbecue in ABQ.

There are two Powdrell's BBQ restaurants, the one on Central Avenue and the one on 4th Street (Both in Albuquerque). They are both good, different atmosphere. The one on 4th Street looks like an old mansion and you eat in separate sections. Kind of nice and quiet. It is on my list to take guest to. The other is open and just a good BBQ place, and good food and service.

Quarters on Wyoming is good. It is a New Mexico family business. They have other locations in ABQ. But the one on Wyoming is my favorite.

Going North on 4th Street

Looking East from 4th Street
Stopped by yesterday afternoon with the wife. 6136 4th St NW in front of Sadies.

I had their Combo with two meats (Ribs & links), triple baked beans, fries. Also ordered onion rings. Everything was good. Really! My complaints about the lost art of french fries in the US does not apply here. Also, the onion rings were good. I would be happy just eating the onion rings. Even the Texas toast (?) was good.

The BBQ meat was good. The ribs tasted like real BBQ (smoked rather than quickly char broiled). BBQ sauce on the side, tasted good to me. Different people have different preferences.

Guy gave us a sample of his "Green Salsa Chili" Gotta try it with some of his 'Mexican" food.

I/we will go back again.
