Well, at least in Colorado you can actually go online to the assessor's office online and see the last sold for price, market info, tax info, property descript etc. and compare it to zillow. Things aren't quite as out of wack here for that reason.
For example: Schedule Information, Assessor's Office, El Paso County, CO

Welcome to the land of manana...especially in real estate. Tax info here is spotty at best, and there is so much missing information. At least you can get some in Bernalillo, try Sandoval, its like going back to the dark ages.

I'm curious about the perceived unreliability of Zillow, because I'm shopping (from far away).
Are Zillow estimates for Abq homes too high, or too low, or just plain wrong in both directions?
