A big "BANG" and it buckled vertically in the middle bowing in about 14-15
inches. The bottom started pulling loose from the runners so I backed the
Hyundai up against the door until it pushed it back out a little. I think if I
hadn't done that the whole door was going to get blown in off the tracks..

I already called the insurance broker and he said there was no problem with
coverage and that the winds today are so bad that he expects that his
company will have so many claims that they'll declare this a "disastrous"
wind storm and send extra agents into the area to help assess claims.

Geez I love home ownership...

I'm hoping the roof stays on. Can't get the dog to stop barking, either! I've been patiently explaining that there's nothing out there, but he doesn't believe me.

It looks like the METAR report for the Sunport showed a wind gust of 46KT just prior to the time of your post - I guess that would do it. What a bummer...

Default It took about an hour, but I got the door open so I could

[SIZE=2]get the Hyundai out. The cable and one track wheel had popped off and it was a real pain
to get them back on. Then the cable got fouled on the reel and the door is about 6 inches
from fully closed so it is going to get COLD in there tonight.

I'll clear the reel in the morning.... whatta pain...

On the subject of high winds, I hope I'm the only one awake in this. The power's been out twice here in Belen, and I'm thinking of sleeping under the dining room table, just to be on the safe side when the roof comes off.

Slept through that one. I'm becoming seriously tempted to look into a wind driven
generator....
