I'm sure some people will be happy as long as those diapers are made by NASA and allow for hundreds of miles of driving to avoid "wasted time" on restroom breaks...

On a serious note--Point well said.

There will be a portable EMP device that can be aimed at the offending
vehicle that simply fries all the electronics in the car - especially the
radio/CD/MP3 player. You drive off leaving the 'bump car' wondering
who it was that "got" him. .... brings a smile to my face even now ...
You just hit on my number 1 complaint about living in Albuquerque (although I know this is an issue many...many places). I have excellent hearing. Every day, from time to time, I hear (and feel) the rumble of booming car stereos from nearly every room in my house. My wife usually doesn't even notice. Sometimes, when the rumble goes on for some time, I go outside to look, and I can't even see a car in sight. I'm blessed/cursed with the ability to hear and feel these things from 2 or 3 streets away. I've been thinking about the portable device for a few years now. I'll be first in line to buy one.

You may get your wish, Tim. Last night it was reported that the red light camera program will run out of money soon. What happened to the much touted earlier surplus, I don't know.

This must be the king of off-topic digressions. But yes, perhaps yoga and the increased skin elasticity that comes with age. Good luck Vin and pls keep us posted on your progress.

BTW, for you wee lads and lasses out there - did you know that once there was a law in the land ( It covered ALL the land. ) that forbid, yes forbid a person from driving at speeds in excess of 55 mph anywhere?

It didn't matter how well lit, straight, flat, desolate the road was and if you were driving a vehicle that was capable of doing 2x or 3x that speed, you were NOT permitted to go that fast?

The law was not originally passed for the purpose of safety, but it degraded into that rational.

That law, like a ban on cellphone use, was unenforceable.

Repealing seat belt laws sounds fine on the surface. Seat belts and helmets save more than just lives, they save millions of dollars in medical and insurance dollars. Anybody who wants to drive without one should have to prove they are privately insured and capable of absorbing the cost themselves when they smack the windshield or bounce off the dashboard. Having insurance is not enough - everybody in the pot eventually pays the price. Post a bond for about a million or so and drive belt-free or ride without your helmet to your heart's content.

Just my view.

My thinking goes along the line of "thinning out the herd."

The progeny of those too stupid to lash down their children without
being told to are also likely to grow up too stupid to know better.

It's better to stop the cycle of reproduction as soon as possible.
