Talking Strong Canopy

Folks, I am in the market for a good tough strong canopy that will stand up under high winds. This canopy will be used for trips to the lake. I've been through 3 or 4 different ones over the last few years. Everyone I get seems to be made of cheap plastic poles and they always bust when the wind gets high.

So, does anyone know where I can get a good strong canopy that will hold up during high winds down at the lake.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a springbar? I don't have the canopy but I do have one of there tents and it holds up really well to all kinds of weather.

They are not cheap.

I purchased the canopy that Springbar had on their site. It looks good. I hope it holds up during my 5 day lake vaction next week. 5 days at the lake drinking beer and fishing.....man, I need to retire.

Check out Garcia's Tents in the valley. You need good canvas and rigid poles. This stuff they sell us, today, have built in obsolescence.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the SpringBar canopy worked great. It stayed up and held tight during all the rain and wind during the Memorial Day weekend. I was very impressed. It was well worth the money.

Melhoff13:

Glad to hear it worked out.

I was at the Celtic Festival the previous weekend. We had 40 MPH winds. A lot of tents/canopies went down, a lot had bent up frames....

No problems here. Had lots of high wind and rain at the lake and it stayed up and kept everything dry. I had to move the damn thing back a few times because the water level rose a few inches every day.

Maybe they have one that floats also

I have looked at some of the cheap canopies, I have watched how some of them fly...
