Mike, have you seen those Kokopelli garden statues that Lowes carries? Ha ha, they arent gnone sized but rather large. I'm sending you the link.... LOL

Garden Treasures at Lowe's: Large Upright Garden Kokopelli Statue

If I do go ahead with the trailer idea, we will need the gnome sized Kokopelli for it to go along with that travel sized toothpaste.

Rose,
My parents are doing this very thing... sort of... they moved out to help my grandparents in Eastern NM and live in their 5th Wheel year round. It is 37' long and has two slide-outs so not too cramped (other than its overloaded with their crap). Make sure it has an AC unit... You will probably want to have 220 electrical hookups. You can buy temporary underpinning to help insulate in the winter time although my parents don't use it. You can do internet searches to find out the R-rating (insulation values) on most rigs. Our slide-in truck camper (too small for long-term living, BTW) is rated for something like -10F. We've had it out in 20 degree with no issues at all, but you'll want to make sure your heater works and your water/sewer hookups are well-insulated.

My parents biggest complaint is that they also have a garage/living space they park next to and if they need something in the trailer then its in the building and vice versa.

With just one person & a dog, I don't see what the big deal will be, she should be fine.

Best of luck.

I lived in a 26' while rehabing my home here. A couple of thoughts. For heat in the winter use an oil heater they are available at target ect. Using the propane furnace in the trailer will empty your wallet faster than you can say broke. The shower arangement is not great. the comode is awful. I lived in it for about 5 months it was only about 4 1/2 months too long. It is doable.

best wishes
