Sunport Rumor Mill
A little birdie told me that Gardunos is pulling out of the Sunport. El Pinto and The Range are moving-in.

Yup in the journal, so certainly not a rumor. Certainly great news!

So for $100 each way, I can fly from BWI to ABQ, eat some Range, and then fly back.
o.k., I'll do it.

I don't generally read the Journal so this may be repeated information. As I understand it, Gardunos is already gone, but it will be quite some time until El Pinto moves in as they are doing an entire make-over. The Range will be past the security checkpoint, it will occupy what is now another restaurant whose name I don't know, and that restaurant will move to a smaller space also beyond the checkpoint. This is based only on what I heard in conversation....

Oh.. also... I had no idea that JR's BBQ was in the commuter (Mesa) side of the Sunport. Hot damn! I love some JR's!

JR's BBQ is just a window in the wall, but handy if you happen to be in the area. The Gibson Blvd JR's is still the best.

Well yeah, nothing beats a Super-Stuffed Spud (w/ Green Chile) from the original!
