Default Digital TV Reception w/Antenna

I'm curious how the conversion to digital went in Albuq [or NM], for those picking up their TV signal with an antenna. Our reception had been pretty good via analog, esp. with any stations broadcasting from Sandia Pk. We originally purchased our converter boxes @ in ABQ, but moved before the conversion happened.

Some stations are still broadcasting analog in addition to HD.

We never got a converter box. We had an HD TV and then bought another. I use small "UHF" rabbit ears, and they work great. Overall, for use, the switchover is better quality all around, and in some cases a few extra channels...

We're finding the same where we currently live, Rich. Used to get o.k. reception for about 5 channels. With digital, we're getting excellent reception for 24 channels.

We kept our old TVs, so we had to get converter boxes. For anyone who's interested, Consumer Reports evaluated converter boxes. Their top recommendation was a Zenith model, which we bought @ Circuit City [or Best Buy?], using the coupons that the feds issued.
