Default Shooters at Denny's

"Multiple Armed Gunmen Open Fire at New Mexico Denny's
Saturday, June 20, 2009
PrintShareThis
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police in Albuquerque say a restaurant employee was killed after several armed suspects attempted a takeover-style robbery at a Denny's Restaurant.

Police spokeswoman Nadine Hamby says "multiple" armed suspects rushed the packed northwest Albuquerque restaurant at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

A female employee of the restaurant was shot and killed.

Two people have been detained, but Hamby says it is unclear yet if they are the suspects in the robbery. A police tactical team has surrounded a home in the northwest part of the city where other potential suspects are believed to have fled.

Hamby says the information is sketchy because detectives have more than 60 witnesses to interview."

Where was this at? is this a hight crime area?

Coors avenue just South of I-40.

I don't know if it was a high crime area, it is an area with a lot of businesses, I've been to that Denny's.

sometimes I wonder what people were thinking, the news reports there were over 100 people in the restaurant at the time when the shooters came in, it said one of the suspects slipped on the floor, a female worker commented on it then the suspect shot her, I guess he wants to spend most of his life behind bars over a comment, stupid people I tell you.

Its a really good neighborhood. I know many people that live in that area. I dissagree with he whole "has alot of gang activity" thats near the Pat Hurley park where most "gang activity" is. Its just that every once in awhile that particular denny's had been robbed. This time is just deadly.
