Default Military relocating to Albuquerque - need rental area help

I will be moving to Albuquerque in August for a new assignment with the Air Force. I need some recommendations on safe areas to live that are within a 30-40 minute rush hour commute (if possible) to Kirtland AFB. I desire to have an 1800+ sq ft home (preferably something that is newer) with 3+ bed, 2+ bath, and 2+ car garage. A community pool would be nice, but is not a requirement. I'm looking to spend under $1400.

Thanks in advance!

Look at rental homes in the Manzano Mesa neighborhood. That is basically bordered on the west by Eubank Blvd SE, north by Southern Blvd SE, and east by Juan Tabo SE, south by the base/labs.

You would be 5 min from the Wyoming and Eubank gates, and 10-15 min tops from the west side of base, where much of the active duty activity is (once you get through the gates you can wind your way to the west end fairly quickly).

Not sure of price, but that neighborhood is very popular with labs/base people. With your commute time guidelines, you have a large area to consider, but if I were you I'd look there first.
