After a stop at the Jubilation "single village mezcal tasting" (free!), we're going to see the Los Lobos & Los Lonely Boys concert at the Isleta Casino, but both are tonight (Friday), before you arrive?

Saturday we might try to get to the Indian Market in Santa Fe. Haven't decided yet. Would love to try riding the Rail Runner!

Sunday we're taking guests to the annual inventory sale at Village Wools (great if you're a knitter!), and plan to stop by the Tomato Fiesta which also has a crafts fair:

New Mexico Calendar of Events find out what is happening or add your event.

And we might drive up to Madrid to see the shops and eat at that great new Southern restaurant, whose name I've unfortunately forgotten, sorry! It's right across the street from the Mine Shaft.

Speaking of casinos...I hear there is a nice big casino somewhere on the North side? I'm sure there are several, and I'm going to goggle it So just thought I'd ask what the name of some of the nicer ones are?

Sandia Casino is the big daddy, but the Santa Ana Star (Bernalillo) is nice too. Isleta Casino has been making a lot of major improvements of the couple of years or so, but I have not seen them up close and personal just yet.

Chap

There is a "grape stomp contest" at St. Clair Winery this weekend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is $20 per 2 person team which includes wine tasting and (I think) a glass. The prize for the contest is a cruise for two. Don't know what the chances of winning are, but it sounds like fun to do otherwise. :O)

Coming to ABQ and eating barbecue????????? That would never be on my list (and I am from Kansas City and a huge barbecue fan...) .

Go somewhere and eat GREEN CHILE, for heaven's sake. This is New Mexico!!!

We'll be at the Indian Market here in Santa Fe. Come on up!!!!!!!

HAHA! I LOVE BBQ and I LOVE green chile. As a matter of fact...I am having Green Chili Pork tonight...homemade of course! I just really like to try non-chain restaurants while visiting. I can eat at Chili's or Applebees any day.

Just got word from the husband...tomorrow is the first preseason game for the Cardinals. Any suggestions where we can go to grab a few drinks and watch the game? We will be hitting one of the casinos tomorrow night (celebrating my husband's birthday, as well) Any recommendations for a good sports bar to go to? Preferrably on the northern-ish side of town?

Thanks guys...you're all the BEST!

You might enjoy strolling through the Abq growers' market (on 8th & Central).

Good produce, entertainment, and crafts.

The County Line is the last place I'd go for BBQ.

If you seek real BBQ, go to Powdrells.
