Moriarty Well Coming Up Dry


The odds of getting usable water from a recently drilled well in Moriarty are not looking good.
Now the city council has to figure out its next step.
Carl Lovato, the city's engineer, told councilors at a special meeting Tuesday that after nearly a month of drilling contractors are not optimistic usable water will be found. The Rogers and Co. of Albuquerque, which is doing the work, has drilled to 678 feet on the well near the City Park.

Our well ran stong @ 100gpm for over a decade. ~300 ft deep. Maybe they should move a bit further West into the valley.
