Default Please help me with a bike route problem

I want to commute on bike from Ventana Ranch to Kirtland. I road the route backwards today to figure it out. I got stuck when I left the Rio Grande bike trail and turned west on Paseo Del Norte. I couldn't figure out how to get across the Paseo Del Norte/Coors Blvd interchange, other than by using brute force. Is there a simple way to continue west near Paseo Del Norte?

Going the other way, I used Golf Course Rd south to Montano east to the river trail. Not ideal, but it worked. Is this the best way around the Coors/Del Norte problem?

Any insight is appreciated.

One last question: Any recommendations for a bike shop? Road in particular.
