What about the one balloon I saw on the news today that was bouncing off the roof top and then had a very hard landing dislocating a passengers hip. Every year someone dies or gets hurt (running into live wires or whatever). My sister-in-law is a nurse in Albuquerque and used to volunteer every year and has some great/stupid people stories to tell.

Sounds like fun!

Alison, I am usually in a white Ford Minivan Windstar with a NM plate. My two dogs are usually in the back if possible.

Thanks.

The audio track is StackTraxx number 44, Layered Digital Music by Digital Juice. That is track Rising Sunset. Here is the actual product:
Digital Juice: StackTraxx 44: Acoustic Stacks

I am not a musician and after a few years of dealing with copyrights, royalties, creative commons licensing, taping live and legal issues, etc with music, I just went with Digital Juice, their licensing is very straight forward....

I do the audio mixing of the tracks in my video editor (Sony Vegas Pro 7 or 9) as it's pretty simple mixing.

I also sometimes use some of the Sony Loops on occasion, but Digital Juice works out better for me.

Yes, a 70 year old passenger was ejected at the field while landing at the Balloon Fiesta field, the balloon clipped the top of a tent, the passenger was ejected and fell about 26 feet and dislodged his hip, the balloon shot up with the loss of weight, it appears to me that the pilot may have had vented or released hot air too fast which then resulted in a fast decent. Both people will recover according to the news.

There were a few hard landings (Two I am told) in Bernalillo. We saw emergency vehicles (I put one in the video) but never learned what really happened.

I have been in hot air balloons and my wife, children and grand children have also had rides. Some people get injured or killed...

I see there was another balloon that bounced off an SUV tossing the passenger. Great stuff, as long as it is entertaining!

I agree with you Rich - this morning news said that the first pilot (man ejected) was doing okay but the second pilot (woman) was in serious condition. My thoughts are with them both.

maybe they should just end the balloon fiesta with all these injuries and some deaths, that way I dont have to hear anything more about it. Kob 4 news should be changed to Balloon Fiesta News, its just some balloons flying around for a short time, nothing too exciting.

Corrales is proving to be a great location to watch the fiesta! This weekend I'm going on the bike to check out some different perspectives!
