I think football coach Mike Locksley(who has been making national headlines) should have been fired, this guy has a sexual discrimination charge against him, he punched his assistant coach and his team is 0-8, he should have been fired, then UNM hides evidence and tried to cover up the incident and then that makes more national headlines for them, then we have this little soccer incident, I think the girl should have been suspended for 10 days because that is what Coach Locksley got, its only fair.

Because sexual discrimination and punching someone in the face is the same as pulling hair and jabbing someone in the back on the soccer field?

No, they are very different. Sexual discrimination and punching someone in the face are actual crimes and possibly felonies. Pulling hair and jabbing someone in the heat of a sporting match is the nature of the game.

I am sorry, but this girl doesn't deserve to be suspended indefinitely. She deserves a suspension, but not to be persecuted. People get in fights all the time in all levels of sports, but this particular girl got national coverage, and as a result was suspended. She punched a girl in the back...after she got elbowed. She wasn't the only one at fault, she was the one who acted worse. She wasn't even thrown out of the game for goodness sakes.

Fire locksley too...

How worthless. How could he let the LOBO program just fall like that... how sad. Its the coaching about 70% off the time. And I know cause i have played both high school and college ball.

But thats the AD's fault too... eeeehhhh.. it all leads back to him, one way or another.

I was asking a question not comparing the two.

BYU weren't angels in that game, official report shows 12 fouls committed by them. We are just judging on what ESPN has decided to show.

I also think the yellow card was harsh, her leg was out before the BYU player made her last touch and in my opinion she took advantage and dived.

If it weren't for the media attention then I don't think she would have been suspended.

Exactly... and UNM needs the attention. We are horrible for everything might as well start of with this and maybe in 10 years we will be a contender for the BCS game.. hahah
