I have a curiosity about some of the people here on this forum. I would like to ask anyone living in Albuquerque (or New Mexico) that came from out of state, if they are retired?

Thank you.

Yep - fully retired nearly 13 years ago and moved to NM from Austin, TX at that time. Easily found a house that suits my needs for a reasonable price.

You're not retired.

With all the posting and pictures and stuff you are doing,

Spank you very much.

If you are retired in the larger area of Albuquerque; where would you recommend living to be in community with or near other retired folks? We're looking at various areas in NM and need to do some info gathering on Albuq. We'll be retiring in NM but where is the question. We're now living in Clovis - like the size of the city and the overall friendliness of people we've met but would like to check out other areas as far as retiring.

Retired in 2003, moved here from the San Francisco Bay Area five years ago, and keep patting myself on the back for making the move.

There's a Del Webb retirement community called Alegría in northern Rio Rancho off of Hwy 528 that you might want to investigate.
