Yes, the old one across the street, just closed, was the worst. Dirty, grubby food too.

At least the KFC looks like McDonald's. Thank goodness for small miracles.

But seriously, what does the McDonald's look like? Is it a regular McDonald's or some kind of special Bernalillo-style McDonald's?

I have never seen a nice looking McDonald's. They all have a similar 'fast-food franchise' look. Maybe I need to take the Rail Runner up and take a look. Are there any good places to eat in the area?

Just a more modern looking style. I don't eat fast foods so it really does not affect me at all. Just commenting on the building style. They look much better than the old out-dated look.

I'd add Lupe's Antojitos to the above list. It's located next to the gas station on the south side of Bernalillo.

We've had some good breakfasts there. Excellent menudo, huevos rancheros, y posole.

Rich, I wish KFC chicken were half as good as your pic.

There's something about fast foods that gives me indigestion. Haven't eaten it in over 50 years.

In Bernalillo, there are a few eating establishments that are a bit more expensive than the fast food venue. Why don't folks go there?

BTW, what kind of camera do you use? It produces great photos.

Because they don't have a drive-thru?

The only fast food I've ever been to in Bernalillo is Sonic for a cold drink and Starbucks.

I prefer to sit at a table and eat, rather than behind the wheel.

Thanks, it is a Canon Power Shot SX10.

I didn't eat there, just walking my dogs and taking pictures.

In Bernalillo I guess my favorites are:

La Casita Cafe
Abuelita's
Coronado Restaurant

Tried them for breakfast this morning....breakfast burrito, chorizo and eggs, chilaqueles ( asada and con huevos ) at our table and we all loved it. Inexpensive, especially compared to nearby Flying Star and The Range...good service, too.

Looking forward to coming back for lunch or dinner, there are some interesting things on the menu including lamb and goat.
