Just wondering if there has been any kind of change in security after the NW incident and if more time should be allowed when I check in for my flight next week?

I know someone who is waiting for a plane to Denver and went in early expecting more thorough security checks. He didn't need to make the effort because there doesn't seem to be any.

I also wondered if there has been a requirement for passports at the ABQ sunport for all domestic travellers? I read somewhere that because NM issues driver's licenses to non-US citizens, that as of Jan 1 anyone leaving the ABQ sunport will have to show a passport? And yes, I have researched this online but cannot find an updated status of the proposed requirement. Thanks.

Every state issues licenses to non-US citizens.

No.

The deadline is now extended to May 10, 2011.

My son flew to Las Vegas NV from ABQ last Thursday and came back last night through Salt Lake City. He said he didn't see anything different. Going out of ABQ, someone from Delta told him to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the flight. He got to the airport 2 hours before the flight...went quickly through security and had over an hour to wait before boarding.

I wonder, are certain passengers now required to go through the millimeter wave body scanner? When I left to Puerto Rico on December 20, it was only optional.
