Well, the electorate has spoken (or at least 5-6 percent has). The glorious $616 million bond that will save our children from an esthetically unpleasant education passed yesterday.

No need to wallow in the outcome. What's done is done.

So how about we come up with a name for that swanky new sports complex on the Westside? I have a few ideas, but I wouldn't want to hinder anyone's creative/thoughtful suggestions. I'm making this a poll, but please feel free to post your own naming ideas!

Chap

Very much enjoyed each of those choices.. so difficult to pick one so I didn't pick one.

How about we name it after some local politician or school administrator, who is not dead or near death or even near retirement?

Or we could keep with APS' new trend of redundant nomenclature and call it the "Westside sports complex stadium bowl". (Atrisco Heritage Academy High School? C'mon.. is it an academy or a high school?)

It's my phrase ( see APS Bond Election thread, post #29 ) and comes from a dinner conversation I had with another poster in which a waitress answered my " Would this dish be appropriate for the four of us to share?" question with " Umm....it's a very hot bowl."

I pledged that night to use it on a forum post, any forum post.

So I did.

See post #36 of the same thread.

As we are having dinner with them again this week, I am retiring that expression as I am sure I'll get a new one.
