California transplant here. Can't stand Blakes, dry bland burgers with no flavor. Rather eat at McDonalds. Done enough travel west and east to try a significant amount of the semi-regional chains out there (Steak and Shake, In n Out, Carl's Jr, Culvers, Jack in the Box, Whataburger, White Castle, others I'm sure I'm forgetting), and I would rank Blake's dead last.

Bob's Burgers up on 14 though are delicious and I would recommend that drive to anyone.

From California, love me a Blake's Lottaburger with cheese and pickles. Maybe grilled onions. And I think their onion rings are among the best fast food rings out there.

Whataburger burgers are icky.

I'm a native New Mexican and I don't like Blake's. I'll eat there once in a while, but it's not the best hamburger. Yes, it's a NM thing. But they are dry and the bun is always soggy from the hamburger or something. The fries are good though. Just my opinion. Everyone else I know loves them, though.

do you know you can get banned for saying that? LOL

Of course I am only kidding, it is really unusual to find someone, a native that doesn't think they are great. We did not care for them at all...

Apparently (I haven't been there yet, but it made Food Network's 50 burgers, 50 states) the place to go is in Farmington. About Clancy's (http://www.clancys.net/aboutus.html - broken link)

Though, now that I peruse their website, I'm struck with fear at anywhere that servers burgers and sushi in Farmington. That seems... fraught with peril.

Looks like they opened up for business yesterday (Monday). I'll have to go by and check them out. Sure hope they offer a green chile option...

Most places adapt.
Even McDonalds and Burger King serve burgers with a side of green chile.
