Oh, I'm in Hoffmantown (Near Menaul/Wyoming). Older ('50's) brick or cinderblock homes, BIG back yards, some nice parks. Near multiple nice parks, lots of shopping including a Super ChinaMart and Uptown.
Literally Westside...there's not much between Mike and the open mesa. Ask him about his amazing donkey.
BWAAHAAHAA!!! My neighbor across the street says that's the last 8 acres of
the original Taylor Ranch and it's grandfathered to have livestock. Since his yard
backs up to it, I assume he's even more familiar with Senior Burro's dulcet tones...
(For those who are confused, Zia's referring to the time he was standing in front
of my house in a typical Westside suburban neighborhood and a burro started braying;
he missed the sheep chorus though... )
I'm near Golf Course and Ellison -- 1/2 mile walk to the Smith's grocery store and a mile walk to the Cottonwood Mall, Wal-Mart, Home Depo and many many other stores. We're also in walking distance to Seven Bar Elementary and Cibola High School -- both good schools.
Ventana Ranch is a great place to raise kids and has wonderful brand new schools, but you'll have to drive to go shopping -- not too bad though (10 minutes or so).
I live in Four Hills, down in the SE corner of town, about 2 miles south of the freeway (and closest stores), very quiet and very peaceful, we back on to the base so we get a real good view of the hills and some pretty cool wildlife.
