We moved here to Albuquerque about a year and a half ago to work for Sony Pictures Imageworks. When we got here, we didn't really know anything about Albuquerque! And found out that many of our coworkers didn't know a whole heck of a lot either! Here is the synopsis:
"In May of 2007, Sony Pictures Imageworks announced the opening of a satellite facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico that could take advantage of tax incentives offered by the state government.
Once in motion, employees of all tenure, and from many parts of the world, began moving to Albuquerque. Most knew absolutely nothing about the area. This is the story of the first forty employees who took the leap, and how they have come to experience the city of Albuquerque, and New Mexico."
Check it out and let me know what you think! The running time is 25 minutes.
Thanks for taking the time to watch it!

Very nice. I wish I could live in New Mexico, one of my favorite US states. I've been to 46 states. Have travelled to 45 countries. Lived in 3 (US, Oz, Canada).. and there is something special (for me) about the desert (I'd take NM over Australia, which I loved.. GASP). And I always answer Green when asked Red or Green.
Oh I liked that video!! Makes me wanna live there... I noticed tho that the people interviewed worked in Art/Computers/Graphics. But is it a good place for a blue collar family? Do another video for the other half.. I'd love to see that one, too.

That company is moving out, going to Canada and some of the work to India, or elsewhere.
There is some work here in Albuquerque, Blue Collar? Yes. Depends on some other factors...
