I'd like to point out that you misspelled nicely sized

I like the San Jose, Austin, and Dayton Airports for the same reason.
They all effectively have only one terminal and they don't need trains
or under-tarmac-tunnels and such.

Denver, San Francisco, Chicago, -- all HUGE. Cool, but HUGE.
Narita, Taipei, Hong Kong -- just nuts. Cool, but nuts.

My answer to the main question of the thread is how far
you can see and how deceptive distances are out here.
What looks to you like a mile or so away can easily be
five or even ten - depending on the light and clarity.

Another thing that took me by surprise was how varied the
temperatures could be in a short distance. The biggest shock
was going up on the Tram. I knew it was going to be
that way, but it still shocked me. ( I'm easily shocked. )

Our flight is schedule to land @ 10:30am. Which is never the case. I figure by the time we get our bags and car rental, it will probably be around 11:30am or so. Whats the first place I should hit up for brunch?

If you want to sit outside, just turn right ( go East ) on Central
till you see someplace with outdoor dining that looks good to
you. Note that at 11:30 am, it might be starting to get pretty
windy and eating outside won't be a good option. Temperatures
are likely to be approaching ideal, but wind might be a factor.

As rybert mentioned, the Frontier is still a good option since almost
every seat has a good view of the street through the huge windows.

Another nice outdoor dining option might be El Pinto near the North
end of town. It has one of the best settings that you can find.

Another another outdoor dining option is the restaurant at
the base of the Tram where you look out on the whole valley.

Weird. It's always weird.
That's part of the charm.

If I'm there, it's even weirder.
If rybert's there, it's off the charts.

....

Oh. ... Did you mean is it crowded?

It doesn't matter. It never matters. They serve fast all the time.
