Default Inexpensive/decent weekly-stay ABQ motel

I know there are some up Central going east (Eubank/J.T. area). Does any one pass these regularly? Are there signs mentioning price (under $175/week) and, off-hand, do they look clean? Not limited, though, to that part of town. ANY info's appreciated!

David

I would steer clear of any motel on Central. They're bound to be older (unless it's one of the ones that just got completely rebuilt) and they border some not-so-choice neighborhoods.

For a weekly stay, there are some decent ones at I-25 & San Antonio, though they can be a bit more expensive.

I believe there's also one or two weekly motels on Menaul between University & Carlisle. Neighborhood's not bad, newer construction, but they don't look cheap either.

maps.google.com should help you find what's in those neighborhoods.

Anything advertising a weekly rate in this town is asking for trouble. You pay cheap and you better pack a gun, some bug spray and sleep in a sleeping bag in the corner. I am serious, you try to stay on Central or any of those cheapos you are going to pay. The best thing to do is stay with a national chain.
