I knew some people in town who are a little more openminded than the populace here. I'll ask and see if I can get you an answer that's both a) considerate of your feelings and b) understanding of the fact that different people should be able to believe different things without being ridiculed for said beliefs.
Frankly, I think it's the term "fortune teller". I'm on the fence as to whether or not anyone can predict the future, but I think most people I know who believe in that kind of thing use terms like "intuitive", and Cynthia Hess is a name I've heard them mention. She has a website, just Google.
I have never been to her, know her, or have an interest but I think she's accepted as "genuine".
there are lots of them, but they always seem to disappear b4 and after blue monday day or 911. later they show up and say i knew it but felt guided to say nothing.
I am a non-believer :-) ...and it is a nice location close to a lot of things that someone on a trip out here might want to see.
Thank you for having a differing opinion on the topic and yet still you were able to give a helpful suggestion.

Thanks! Again may have a different viewpoint but managed to give a civil answer.
Are there any bonafide fortune tellers out in Albuquerque? (looking to add a quirk to my future trip)
ALL fortune tellers are fakes.
I'm a "trained" tarot card reader because I worked briefly for a phone service that did readings.
You don't "read" the cards...you read the people.
And you give them what they want you to give them...."peace of mind."
I would suggest that you take pictures along Old Route 66.
It will be more enjoyable.
And cheaper...LOL
They are called psychics. In every town or city I've lived in, I always have one or two that I visit once or twice a year. I've had enough amazing experiences with psychics to know that there's something to it; we just haven't discovered the science behind it yet.
I went to a tarot card reader when I was a college student just to see what it was like. According to the card reader, I should have been dead 12 years ago. Nothing he said happened. I left there feeling pretty stupid, but again I just wanted to have the experience.
