sorry but what is an arroyo walker? I know the arroyo's are used to divert water from flooding areas, but do people actually walk in them?

An arroyo, also called a wash, is usually a dry creek bed or gulch that temporarily fills with water after a heavy rain, or seasonally. Arroyos can be natural or man-made. The term usually applies to a mountainous desert environment. In many rural communities, arroyos are the principal roads, and in many urban communities they are important multi-use trails for recreation and pedestrian and equestrian travel. Here is a picture of a small arroyo I took three years ago. The arroyo is on the left of the first picture. The arroyo
separates some housing areas, this safety tip is also for berncohomes when he gets the nerve to become an arroyo
walker:
