Hello, I am stationed at Fort Bliss TX.

In the Texas/El Paso thread we were talking about local attractions, and I asked being new to the area if El Paso could support an Aquarium. there have been mixed reviews, but most think it could.

It was brought up that your fine city already has one, even though its a bit small, they mentioned it was tied into your zoo and a botanical park.

Would any of you be so kind as to provide some pictures of this attraction for us internet junkies who have not the means to come see it first hand. Thank you.

It is a nice, small aquarium, combined with the entire part system you can easily stay the whole day. We also like the zoo and many times just go there.

Here is the Albuquerque web page: Albuquerque Aquarium - City of Albuquerque

If visiting, you really need to consider the entire park system: Albuquerque Biological Park - City of Albuquerque (http://www.cabq.gov/biopark/index.html - broken link)

I can't find my pictures right now, but here are about 3,000 pictures from various people on flickr, some might be mine: Albuquerque Aquarium - Flickr: Search (http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Albuquerque+Aquarium&ss=2&ct=6&mt=all&w=all&adv =1 - broken link)

Rich,

Thank You. I never thought of looking at flickr. Small or not that looks like a great attraction. I wish your sister city down south would consider something like this. The education benefit of it should be enough to consider such a project. I wonder if I can convince the military to move Fort Bliss north a few hundred miles. Also thank you for the links, I found those with a google search, the web page did not have many pictures I could find though.

again thank you.

Thanks for stopping by, I was just trying to help on your city board. However some posters there feel that if you post something about Albuquerque, attractions or something they are talking about, they get upset in a sort of weird insecure way.
Anyway....i'll just stay away from there. Albuquerque has alot to offer for a city it's size, take a drive up north some day and check it out....you'll enjoy, lots to see and do. Here's a link that shows alot of the attractions.

I am guessing there is bad blood between the two cities? According to google maps your a short drive like 4 hours away. I may take my girlfriend up there to check it out one weekend. Stay over night and head back. Sorry that it got nasty. I have noticed no matter the subject matter, it always ends up in a pissing contest. I dont understand why.

Thanks for the link.

No. Bad manners between people.

That would be an excellent idea.

That's the nature of the internet. Sometimes it's people with no guts saying things autonomously.
