I remember an old horse riding friend bought a case of (I think) gallon jugs of Muscatel wine. He and I and a couple other buddies checked it out. Barf, we drank a lot of that stuff. Memories aren't pretty.

My liver has never mistreated me so I don't see myself being so mean to it with the stuff named. I did try Mad Dog 20/20 WAY back in my day. I will drink a little Boone's Farm if it's available but really, it's too sweet for my taste to really enjoy.

Fat B@stard, Little Penguin, and some of the Yellow Tail wines are cheaper and decent.

That's a good wine, imo. I had a wine guy @ Trader Joe's once tell me never to be afraid of less expensive wines, but I don't think he was talking about Thunderbird! He said that some of the less than $10 wines TJs carries are packaged under a different label and sold for 20+/- dollars at wine shops.

The difference between Two Buck Chuck (or, in Ohio, $3.49 Chuck) and really cheap wine is that Two Buck Chuck doesn't taste cheap.

And it makes really good wine jelly ... Boone's Farm doesn't make really good anything, especially hangovers.

I was given an entire CASE of two buck chuck from my 'secret santa' at work last year. There was only 4 bottles left by the time I meandered home the next afternoon Me and my coworkers know how to hold down in the parking lot of a fancy restaurant by the beach!
