Heard this on the news today and got a chuckle Can't get 2 buck Chuck here but will have to try it ifn ever I'm in a place that sells it. Right now we just enjoy our local wineries offerings. Not a bad price for some really good drinking.
I prefer white tho'
Two buck Chuck has been around for quite sometime. It's o.k. ,but remember one year a vintage can be great and the next year it could be a different story. I will say though that two buck Chuck has been pretty consistent in quality.
Roma, thanks for the post. I tried this brand of wine at a neighbor's house and enjoyed it. She let me in on the secret, it's only three bucks a bottle at Trader Joe's. (I guess it costs about a dollar to ship it here from California, so we call it three buck Chuck.)
That's cute. Three buck Chuck instead of Two!!
Yeah, I remember Charles Shaw wine being mentioned on the news a couple of years ago because Trader Jooe's couldn't keep enough in stock. It was selling out every time they stocked the shelves with it.

I think it has something to do with state taxes. Last time I was in Cincinnati I picked up a case because the Pennsylvania Trader Joe's can't sell wine or beer and it was $3.49, not including the 10 percent case discount.
Hell back in 1973 i thought Boons Farm Apple was pretty good and was only $2.99 a bottle i was 18 years old and was legal to drink. Ahh the good ole days.
i like that price point! i dont drink wine so when my wife would send me to get her something, i would always ask for the cheapest bottle that doesnt look like the cheapest. some places didnt appreciate that request. id love to pick up some 2 buck chuck. what type of wine is it that won?

It's Charles Shaw. I don't know if it's available anywhere else or if Trader Joe's has an exclusive.
I enjoy the Two Buck Chuck (though it's now $2.99) of several varieties, but most recently tried the White Zinfandel. That stuff is great, much better than several much more expensive varieties that I have bought before.
