If I'm drinking on a very small budget (which is rare these days since I make pretty good pay now compared to in the past), I'll opt for a dry red wine (Shiraz being my favorite) under $10. Yellow Tail is one of my favorites.

Also try Barefoot - $5.99-6.99 a bottle - 9.99-12.99 - big bottle
Barefoot has a good amount of choices - my pref is Pinot Grigio

This just shows how tastes differ. I will only drink Barefoot if someone pours it for me and I don't want to insult them, but I don't mind Yellow Tail at all.. Our local wine and liquor store (which I a heading out to this morning) has Yellow Tail, 1.5 liter bottles for about $9.00.

Happy Hour! I have done an extensive research of Happy Hour specials in my town, and what is served for food, drink specials. One place, awesome, huge Long Island Ice Tea, chock full of alcohol, for, yes, $2.50! Two of these, you are done.

Happy hours are a great bargain! My hubby and I love eating out, and we love our wine with our food, but wine is quite pricey almost everywhere. But quite a few places have 2-for-1 deals on house wines during happy hour so we frequent those places quite often (last night in fact).

Great advice!
