Default White Castle testing beer and wine sales

You can purchase domestic beer for $3 and wine for $4.50 at the White Castle in Lafayette, Indiana. If successful, the concept could be rolled out at other locations.

Hmmmmmmmmm..........

what wine would go well with a white castle slider?????????????

Rose? would sell at the liquor store for $2.50 a gallon?

Sangria........a fruity blend of Mogan David and 7-Up................

Preferred Beer? Milwaukee's Best or MAYBE Keystone?

ROFL...........

Word to burger marketers..........make a better burger instead of adding a mediocre wine/ beer list.........it'll make you more money cause people will actually stop to eat it.............

I'll be surprised if this works. I grew up eating White Castles and love them to this day. However, I think often times people eat there because it's fairly cheap. If that's the case why would one add more cost to their order with beer and wine?

I enjoy a beer or a glass of wine on occasion and certainly take no issue with White Castle giving this a try but, I just don't think sliders will go well with beer and/or wine. Give me a bag of sliders and an icy cold Coke and I'm happy.

Good, it will give me something to drink to help take away the taste of their burgers.

Don't people usually go there when they're already drunk and trying to eat something greasy to sober up? Bad idea - stagger in to White Castles, have some sliders, have even more wine and drive home. Nice for the teenagers too - I'm sure they wouldn't dream of sneaking wine or beer or having one of the fast food workers slip them a beer or two - or what about the teenagers working there, I'm sure they wouldn't dream of guzzling wine or beer! Not the best idea White Castles just improve the quality of your meat.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Are they going to serve it in plastic wine cups?

Some things seem so silly.............

Will White Castle have a sommelier? I can see the conversation..............

"Excellent choice sir. Would you care to sniff the screw off cap?"

Would you admit to being a wine steward at the local White Castle? "Yes, I serve wine at White Castle........I'm waiting on a call from an Iron Chef to progress in my chosen career........."

I pretty much am not in tune with the whole White Castle culture, but if this is what they want do, then more power to them.
