I spent two weeks on the Irish island of Inishmaan.Inishmaan Aran Islands Ireland Inis Meain Aran Islands Galway Ireland

In the afternoon it would rain, and I would generally seek shelter in the local pub to wait out the storm.

The first time I went in the pub, I ordered a cola, as I don't usually drink alcohol.

The bartender was polite, and served me my soda. The locals nodded politely.

The second day I came in seeking shelter and ordered a cola, the bartender said "Your welcome to come in any time, but you your going to need to have a "real" drink! Jameson was what he poured., and what I drink when I want to conjure memories of Ireland.

I drink Bushmills for it's mellow buzz!

Bushmills 21. No other choice.

The way I see it, Jameson is more popular in Ireland because of its lower price and better advert campaign. As far as Irish whiskey goes, it's Bushmills 21 for me every time.

However, I would use Jameson in Irish coffee since the taste would no longer be important once it is buried in sweet stuff.
