Default High Proof Bourbons For Summer - When The Mercury Goes Up, Try These Six Ballsy Bourbons On Ice

High Proof Bourbons For Summer | The Whiskey Reviewer

I have and enjoy Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, Maker's Mark Cask Strength and Stagg Jr. My favorite is a toss up between EC and MM, leaning towards the Makers

The Bourbon Master Thread was created by merging together 38 threads about bourbon. No thread redirects were left unless the old thread had replies in the month prior to the merge.

I prefer the Old Bardstown estate bottled to the black label, but either is good. Good luck on the trip and happy hunting.

Thanks. I managed to snag (mostly limiting myself!) to these 4 bottles. Thanks for the suggestions.

You did well. The Old Weller Antique is excellent, the baby Saz is also very good, and Henry McKenna would be allocated if everyone knew how good it is. The Weller Special Reserve is a good, everyday pour. I am really surprised you were able to find the Antique in the wild. It has become very scarce.
