NEVER did that again

I should have known better because I'm a beer man and hard liquor and me don't get along.
You just reminded me of one of the worst hangovers I have ever had. Those things are evil. I think Satan drinks those.

I drank some Tequila once that didn't even make it to my stomach. It tasted like gasoline. I accidently drank gasoline once, so trust me on this. It made it part way down my throat and I threw it up. That's the only bottle of booze that I've taken one shot of and poured the rest in the sink. Wish I could remember the name. Ah, found it. I remembered it 'cuz it was in a black bottle.

It sounds terrible. Maybe I drunk the hardest thing is the expired drinks that I didn't realize. OMG!

While I was in high school this was a popular punch at parties. They would mix up a giant batch in a metal trash can and call it "trash can punch". Then for days after, you just wanted to hug a trash can.

My uncle was a bar tender and made something called Jungle Juice. There are different variations. I know it had vodka, country time pink lemonade, white zinfandel. There had to be at least 4 more liquors in this besides that I know of. Tasted fruity and delicious until you have 3 and then try to stand up. Oh boy. I wish he was still alive to make me some. I guess I could try and find a recipe similar to his and make some.

In Montreal, the legal age for drinking was 18. That meant that, even though I hated the taste of liquor, if we got so lucky as to get into a bar when we were 15, 16, or 17, I *had* to have a "real" drink, otherwise they'd just KNOW that I was underage. (Never mind that I looked 12. Not the point.)

I usually stuck with the juicy or sweet drinks, the ones that you couldn't really taste the alcohol, and I'd nurse that one drink all night. One time, though, I tried Southern Comfort. And then, when we got up to leave, my knees gave out on me and there I was, a puddle on the floor, unable to even stand up. "THIS is why I don't drink!" I yelled at my friends. "I hate the taste AND it makes me an invalid!"

Suffice to say, as soon as I hit 18, I stopped being a big shot and stuck to diet soda.

Jungle Juice - YouTube Jungle juice recipe. Not my Uncles but similar. He did not use everclear because it's illegal in NY.

Just to clarify, I now drink the Barcardi 151 with Coke, Wild Turkey 101 & 108 and Jack Daniels neat with a little ice. I did drink moonshine once NO MORE!!!!
