Tonight it was a Kentucky Gentleman and ginger ale for cocktail hour, and a glass of Kokomo Zinfandel with dinner.

Was in Vegas at one of the big strip casinos and the bar had Templeton Rye, one of my favorites. Asked for it served up neat. Delicious!

Got the bill, $19.95, leaving a $.05 tip. It's good, but not $20's a shot good.

Now, THAT is ridiculous (I thought you got free drinks if you gambled?).

Along the same lines, I always marvel at the people in my small town who congregate at the local watering hole to pay for ONE BEER what you would pay for an ENTIRE SIX-PACK at the grocery store. It's the same people every night. You can't just rotate among the various private homes and save a lot of money? SMH!

No gambling going on in the lounge, and the complimentary drinks served when you do gamble are not the premium whiskeys.

If you are gambling yes but just sitting at the bar no, plus I am guessing he could not call his own brand if it is selling for $20 a shot.
