LOL! Alcohol hasn't managed to bring down society yet and humans have been drinking it for several thousand years.

Drink on, my friend!

Drinking "excessively" is bad for the body we all know that but having a glass or two of wine is good. Also most people don't know that have a one or two beers a week actually is good for you as well. Everyone has a different definition of what "so much" is though.

Alcohol is a drug but most of us don't think it is because it's legal and accessible. nicotine and caffeine are a drug, too. Most people think of drugs as pills and illegal substances like pot and cocaine. the only differences are legality and effects. i'm not saying people who drink coffee and alcohol are drug addicts (I drink sometimes so I'm not judging) but it's a drug nonetheless. as long as you don't abuse or use alcohol as a crutch I don't seem harm in my opinion.

its relaxing, like going on a vacation in ur backyard, helps me to sleep and even rids me of nightmares on occassion. as long as its not harming anyone, who care if someone drinks a 6 pack a day? there are far worse hazards in the world to worry about than how much somebody drinks everyday.

Hell, last week i went through 72 bottles of beer [mix of molson canadian and miller lite] on my own, still made it into work on time and all my bills were paid up to date, and all my responsibilites were all taken care of.

All i can say is im a functioning alcoholic so i see nothing wrong with someone a=or anyone drinking so much

Or maybe it is because we spend so much time on City Data and some of the people drive us to drink?

LOL, this is a funny question - I think we all know the answers, and people's reason all in varying degrees.

I enjoy wine when I'm cooking dinner. I actually prefer that to drinking it with dinner. I don't really touch hard liquor anymore and I've never been a beer drinker.
