I realize everyone has different tastes, but I thought it might be useful to have a thread where we list drinks that we want to tell people: "Warning: Stay the hell away. Don't waste your money."

Some from my experiences so far:

Smirnoff Ice Triple Black - a lime-flavored drink but definitely not as good as Seagram's Escapes' or B&J's versions. The only SI that I just don't care for so far.

Barcardi cherry or grape + soda - It's probably not the 8% alcohol (I can drink wine); it's probably the very artificial, cough-syrup taste.

Most vodkas in vanity bottles.

Really, try Wyborowa, Exclusiv, Russian Standard, Sobieski, Moskovkaya or even Luksusowa over any of the fancy-looking bottles. You'll save a few bucks and even get a better vodka than what's in most of those cute packages.

I'd avoid already-mixed drinks; they're too syrupy and the flavors are fake.

I know plenty of people who like sweet wines, but I'd put a big ol' stop sign in front of 90 percent of them.

Lies!

I can see where you're coming from, but it's an ingredient in one of my favorite drinks--the negroni (but you have to have the orange wedge).

My thoughts exactly. A campari and soda isn't so bad either.

Default UV Pink Lemonade

it wasn't just me...a tried and true "drinker" wouldn't drink it either.

You`re absolutely right. The already mixed iced teas in the US are disgusting artificial sweet * bäh *

Well-level liquors. Mixers with too much sugar, or too many ingredients. Think "slow food." Grappa. Gewurztraminer.
