It was Speakeasy Big Daddy Double IPA. It was not the alcohol that did it. Is there such a thing as hops that make the whole body numb, or some other herb or spice that can do it?

I didn't see any of the reviewers of this report this experience, so I don't know if it didn't happen for others, or if the beer review sites would censor it?

Have you had this result from this or any other beer? My question is not just for general knowledge, as I have a neurological disorder that sends pain messages from all over my body to my brain 24/7. This has been all my life or since age 1, getting worse now that I'm 60+. Many one needs to have this neurological disorder to get the whole body numbing I got from just this one beer?

I saw govt alpha acid percentages for many hop varieties & it did not seem to be related to that, either.

The Speakeasy Big Daddy Double IPA tends to get low ratings, in part because many reviewers review it when it is stale. I wonder if anyone gave it a low rating because they got numb, but didn't want to say that was the reason. After buying a 4 back for $8.79 in Oregon several years ago, I went back & bought a case, so it wasn't just a single time I got that effect after 2 bottles. Comments anyone? Thanks!

P.S. I'm sure it costs more now & it is not distributed within several hundred miles of me.
