Good article, thanks. It's funny because I was thinking not to long ago about how Europeans and Germans in particular always thought our beer was crap...which up until not too long ago it mostly was. I mean they would litterly laugh at our Buds or our Millers and now the table has turned...wahahaha (that's my evil laugh).
When I was in England earlier this year I went to a liquor store and the fellow was raving about American IPA's. Kind of funny going to the place where the IPA style originated and then they are raving about our version. We've come a long way baby!

What's interesting and sad is that Becks, which I enjoyed at one time and considered a decent, middle of the road German lager is brewed here now and tastes nothing like it did. Anything AB gets it's hands on is doomed.
Uh you people realize that light pale lagers and pilsners are originally from Europe- Bud, Miller, Coors, et al.

Not too shabby. I was thinking more of along the lines of American micro brews but that's still cool. Land of the free and the home of the brew.
