My sister brought me a bottle of rum from St. Kitts about 16 years ago. It was heavenly, and I've never had rum that was that good.

Sadly, the distillery closed shortly after my sister visited. I still have the bottle; I open it every now and then and breathe in the wonderful aroma.

Another friend once bought me a gigantic bottle of Frangelico. I've never seen a friar that big! LOL

Why can't people say give or gave anymore? I am so sick of "He gifted me, etc."

Correct: /He gave me a bottle./ Incorrect: /He gifted me a bottle./

We can't communicate if people want new languages every week.

Oh, I dunno. You seem to have understood perfectly what I said.

Toss up between the Ethel M chocolates filled with liquor, or the bottle of Godiva liquor.

Liter bottle of Grand Marnier
Liter bottle of Courvoisier VSOP Cognac
(both purchased at duty free)

With instructions to use a brandy glass, mixing 1/2 Grand Marnier and 1/2 Courvoisier.

To this day, it's my favorite after dinner drink.

That reminds of my childhood when daddy would always serve B&Bs for after dinner and he would light them. Today, I just stick with wine most of the time.

We 've received some very good bottles of wine over the years. My husband gave me a '90 Chateau Margaux--but I think it was a trick--he knew I'd have to share it with him.

We actually named our Rottie Margaux. "Shadow Margaux".
